Wondering what to do next weekend? How about a little London gastronomy?
Coming up: the opportunity to taste dishes from 40 of the capital’s finest restaurants alfresco. ‘Taste of London’ is a must-attend event for foodies, with 11 Michelin stars ensuring the very best of British and International cuisine for you to sample. And there’ll also be 200 producers providing plenty of food and drink so you won’t be going hungry.
On Saturday, watch celebrity chefs Nacho Manzano, Cesar Garcia, Jacob Kenedy and Stuart Gillies, amongst others, shaking a pan or two in their mini-kitchens in the AEG Taste Theatre. You can also take part in a hands-on cooking class with the Waitrose Cookery School and learn the art of great baking with Anna Hansen and Paul A Young in La Pâtisserie Peugeot. And of course there’s the opportunity to do a little wine tasting too.
And it’s not just food and wine, although there’s no lack of it. There’ll be a line-up of the city’s top musical talent at the bandstand, cocktails and cabaret in the Circus Bar and a programme of Foyles book signings where you can meet the stellar chefs.
