There are numerous natural wonders scattered all over the world. Whether it is the breathtaking Great Barrier Reef in Australia or the awe-inspiring Mt. Everest in Nepal, each place has its own unique beauty. Here are a few more top natural wonders to visit before you die.

The Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA is one of the deepest gorges on this planet. With an average depth of 1.6km and average width of 16km there is no other sight like this on earth. Carved by the Colorado River over millions of years, this canyon takes a full day to hike just to the bottom and even longer to climb back out. In total it is 446 km long and can stretch to 29 km wide.

Zangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in the Gansu Province of China is another unique landform that can be extremely hard to comprehend the sheer size of it. The red sandstone has mixed with various mineral deposits over the course of the year leaving beautiful colours. The various weather conditions mixed with time have left unique shapes such as pillers, ravines, and other patterns in the extraordinary landscape.

Literally translating to “Cotton Castle”, Pamukkale in the Denizili Province in southwest Turkey is the place to sit back and relax in nature. There are 17 terraced basins full of natural hot springs rich in minerals just waiting for you to soak in.

Last but far from least is the Gran Salar de Uyuni in southwest Bolivia. It is home to the world’s largest salt plains stretching 10,582 square kilometers. During certain seasons the plains transform into a gigantic reflection making it any photographers dream location. If you get a chance, try and stay in one of the hotels nearby that are made from salt blocks taken from the Salar.
