If you’re cheesed off with unreliable English weather and are looking for a destination that virtually guarantees all year-round sunshine, you may well be considering a beach holiday in Tenerife. It’s the combination of sun, sea and sand that makes the island one of the top tourist destinations in Europe.
Flying into Tenerife’s Reina Sur airport is perfect for the nearby popular ‘blue flag beaches’ at the Playa de las Americas, Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje resorts. Sun seekers can be on the beach basking in the warm sunshine within an hour after arrival.
And Tenerife cheap flights are surprisingly easy to find from London and a number of regional UK airports. Tenerife’s Reina Sur airport is served by budget airlines Monarch, Thomson, Easy jet, Ryanair, Jet2 and Thomas Cook.
Monarch airlines (www.monarch.co.uk) fly to Tenerife from London’s Gatwick and Luton airports and from Birmingham and Manchester. For example, a return flight from Birmingham to Tenerife with Monarch, departing on Tuesday the 6th of September and returning one week later, costs from just £145.98. Monarch currently has daily flights there except on Saturdays.
Thomson (www.thomson.co.uk) has Tenerife cheap flights from no fewer than 15 UK airports. The best bargain price we found was a return flying out on the 6th of December and returning on the 20th for just £124, getting you back home just in time for Christmas. Flights from Exeter to Tenerife depart on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Easy Jet (www.easyjet.com) flies to Tenerife from Bristol, Edinburgh, London Gatwick and Manchester. A flight from Gatwick departing on the 23rd of September and returning on the 30th comes in at just £198.17.
Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) also currently flies to Tenerife from 11 UK airports and Jet2 (www.jet2.com) has flights from a number of UK airports, with a return flight from East Midlands in September from £270.
So if you fancy a break this autumn, there’s a host of Tenerife cheap flights available to get you to your dream island off the coast of North Africa. And with cheap accommodation, good food and plenty of water sports to keep you entertained, it makes a great destination for all the family.
