If you’re feeling a little flat after putting away the Christmas decorations and Easter seems like a long way away, why not take a weekend break to one of the many destinations served by Ryanair? Book before midnight tomorrow for departures in February and take advantage of their winter sale.
One way fares without taxes start at £7, with, for example, flights from Liverpool to Stockholm and Bremen, from London Stansted to Oslo and Rimini, or from East Midlands to Valencia. But if you’re prepared to pay more and you’d set your heart on romantic Rome or sunny Malaga, there are reasonable deals on offer too.
For example, mid month weekend flights to Rome, flying out on the 18th of February and returning on Sunday the 20th, costs under £100, so why not visit Michelangelo’s glorious Sistine Chapel, toss a coin in Piazza di Trevi’s fountain to ensure you’ll return to the eternal city and dine at the elegant Piazza Navona?
Alternatively you can head for the sun and fly to Malaga for under £74. Visit the Picasso Museum and house where the artist was born, Malaga’s two Moorish castles, the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro and try the local seafood down at the harbour. With today’s sunny temperatures at 19º you may even be able to eat al fresco!
