Simpsons Park soon to open in Orlando, Florida
- You Tube
Simpsons fans will be thrilled to know that a theme park dedicated to the show's evergreen characters is about to open in Florida. Following the success of the already-existing 'Simpsons Ride', a mini-Springfield has been developed inside the Universal Orlando Resort which features a Simpson-inspired brand new outdoor attraction called 'Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl', as well as an accurate reproduction of some of the series' landmarks.
From what we've heard so far, this really seems like the ultimate leap into the Simpsons-dimension. Upon arrival, crowds will be welcomed and entertained by a real-life Krusty the Clown and Sideshow Bob, proceeding then to enjoy all those places we got so accustomed to after almost two decades of watching the adventures of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and of course, Maggy.
Peckish Simpsons lovers will be able to choose between a Krusty-certified meat sandwich at the Krusty Burger bar, a slice at Luigi’s Pizza, some mexican food with Bumblebee Man at the Taco Fresho or maybe few ultra-fattening doughnuts at the notorious Lard Lad. The park also features its very-own Kwik-E-Mart, but most of all, it will give the world the chance to finally sit at Moe's Tavern and wash the food down with a couple of pints of Duff Beer - which has been brewed exclusively for Universal Orlando.
Mark Woodbury, President of Universal Creative, has described the new venture as "a must-see experience for Simpsons fans all over the world", adding: "for the first time ever, they’re going to be able to enter a world that they’ve only seen on television – and we’re really excited to bring that world to life".
