New York is an amazing city that is a must do for people who enjoy travelling. Manhattan is covered with places to go and things to see. You could easily spend a day in Central Park - the perfect place to get away from the craziness of the city and unwind.

Take a walking tour of the park. There are many free walking tours around Central Park, run by volunteers. All you have to do is meet at a designated point - there's no need to book a place, just turn up and go for a walk.
Make sure you visit Belvedere castle. It was built in 1869. Intended to be a lookout with nice views, since 1919 the top of the tower has been used by the national weather service for weather reports.
The Strawberry Fields is a tribute to John Lennon, and is well worth a visit. It is a designated quiet zone, making it a good place to relax.
If you are visiting during winter months, ice skating on Wollman rink has to be done. It is open for ice skating from November to March and you don’t have to bring your own skates - they have skate rental and lockers.
Have a picnic in the park. It is a nice way of having lunch in the city. Manhattan can seem very busy to many tourists so getting out of the mayhem and lying back and relaxing with a picnic in Central Park is a nice way of doing lunch.
