Sheffield: Fine cutlery and knife wielding aborigines

SHAFF, the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival offers up some lunatic kayaking in the Congo’s equivalent of a giant washing machine on high spin. Lots of climbing up buildings and mountains only to jump off them again with a camera attached to your head and best of all, the knife wielding Australian Aborigines who want to eat your camera.

Little known fact: Sheffield’s got the biggest independent cinema outside of London, and was recently voted best cultural venue in the region – woo hoo! This is where the annual SHAFF takes place so you can watch all the adrenalin junkies bounce their bodies off solid objects and eat entrails of various vermin all from the comfort of your cinema seat with a bucket of popcorn in your lap.

So, if you’ve nothing better to do between the 12th and the 14th of March, except perhaps make yourself Irish proof for Paddie’s Day then nip up to Sheffield where you can kick off the carry-on with the Fringe event (what’s a festival without a fringe?) at the Café Euro on John Street. shaff.co.uk
