There’s nothing quite like the electric vibe of a live rock extravaganza, whether you’re a young teenage enthusiast or a die-hard rocker who has been around since the days of the Rolling Stones. So if you want to do some serious head shaking to a cool beat this summer and fancy a weekend away in a destination with a difference, why not head for Sölvesborg for the Sweden Rock Festival?
This year’s grand event takes place from the 8th to the 11th of June in Sölvesborg, on the shores of the Baltic Sea in southern Sweden. Established in 1992, it’s now Scandinavia’s biggest hard rock and heavy metal festival, with around 35.000 fans flocking there each year. This year, big names such as Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Whitesnake and The Cult are just some of the artists who will be performing, along with over 70 bands during the four day party.
Sölvesborg is very close to Kristianstad airport and if you check out www.farecompare.com you’ll find that SAS are currently offering return flights from London Heathrow, departing on the 7th of June and returning on the 12th for just £174. Rock on!
