Safest places to travel right now

Many travels may be wary of travelling after recent attacks on Paris, Cairo and Belgium to name a few. But there are still plenty of safe places to travel to around the world.

Not only is Denmark a safe country to visit, it is one of the happiest as well. With 400 small islands and quaint towns to explore, this Scandinavian country will leave you feeling worry free. It is still advisable though to watch out for pickpocketing, especially while in the capital city of Copenhagen.



Now is the perfect time to visit Austria. They have some of the most beautiful Christmas Markets in Europe and are home to many famous musicians and of course, the Alps. There have been warnings from tourists about petty crimes on the Sound of Music tour as well as in Vienna. Having said that, it is one of the safest holiday destinations in Europe as there have been no major acts of terrorism.

This is the outdoor adventurer's dream destination. Not only is it beautiful but it is one of the safest countries in the world to travel to. While you are out travelling around, just remember basic travelling rules such as avoid carrying too much money, be cautious if hitchhiking and notify family or friends if you are going to remote areas.



Iceland scored the highest on the Global Peace Index which looks at a country’s home security, militarisation and involvement in domestic and international conflict. The most dangerous thing you will have to worry about is volcanic erupting and in certain areas, the level of sulphur dioxide. So enjoy a relaxing trip where you can sit back and enjoy the natural hot springs and glaciers.
