Travelling on any form of public transport is annoying, uncomfortable and frustrating. You have to be on time but the bus, train or plane you’re taking doesn’t. Travelling on a plane though is the most stressful of all. Perhaps that’s because we don’t do it that often or perhaps it’s the airlines that make our lives difficult. We’ve taken a look at the worst airlines in the world.

Air Algerie is an airline that scores very badly for in-flight entertainment, cleanliness and staff responsiveness. This is one to avoid at all costs.

Bulgaria Air has only been around since 2002 but that’s no excuse for the lack of amenities like pillows and blankets which has earned them a place on this list. Other complaints include the cabin crew’s lack of efficiency and poor language skills.

Cuban Airlines is a carrier who run an old fleet of planes. This seems to be the main reason why they score low on customer satisfaction.

Pegasus Airlines is the second largest airline in Turkey but they’re also one of the worst according to tourists who have used them. They are a low cost airline but complaints suggest that they could do a better job.

Ryan Air is great at lowering costs but they have lowered customer service to the point where travellers don’t want to use them. The no-frills carrier are routinely in the bottom part of any list for horrible management decisions like the one when they decided to remove 2 toilets on each plane to make six more seats. This left just 1 toilet per plane.
