Ferries in Hull, England, make two separate crossings. The Hull to Zeebrugge ferry brings travellers to Belgium, while the Hull to Rotterdam ferry brings you right to Holland.
Hull to Rotterdam ferries travel overnight. Service from Hull to Rotterdam departs at 9 pm and arrives in Rotterdam at 8:15 am. The return trip departs at 9 pm and arrives at 8 am. All passengers must check in 90 minutes in advance. Service is not offered on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Eve.
Hull to Zeebrugge offers overnight sailings throughout the year, except on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve. Passengers must check in 90 minutes before the scheduled departure. Ferries depart Hull at 6:30 pm and arrive in Belgium at 8:45 am. The return trip from Belgium leaves at 7:00 pm and pulls into Hull at 8:15 am.
Rates for both Belgium and Holland start at ₤154 one-way for two passengers and a vehicle. Passengers receive an en-suite cabin for the overnight trip. Ferries have ATM's, entertainment venues, shops and restaurants.
Irish Sea Crossings
The Cairnryan, Ireland, to Troon or Larne, Scotland, ferry service is run by P&O Express. The crossing takes two hours and operates from March to October. Rates start at ₤99.
Dublin, Ireland, to Liverpool, England, ferries make two crossings per day. Check-in requires you to arrive one hour before the scheduled departure. Ferry service between Ireland and England takes eight hours. Prices start at ₤89 and include meals.
Irish Sea ferries do not have lifts available. Passengers must be able to climb stairs. Ferry service from Ireland to Great Britain is not available for foot passengers.
