With the skiing season in full swing, why not make it a special ski trip this year by treating yourself to luxury accommodation? We’ve searched the web and come up with a very special place to stay from a Daily Telegraph list.
The seriously chic Yellowstone Ski Lodge (020-3058 1234, yellowstoneskilodge.co.uk), in the idyllic Tarentaise village of Sainte Foy, France, is an ideal place to stay if you’re a fun lover who has a number of good skiing friends or a large family. The lodge can be rented in its entirety as an exclusive-use chalet and sleeps 12 adults and three children. At £8,500 per week, it doesn’t come cheap, but you’ll be lounging in luxury. The bedrooms are all ensuite, with impressively deep baths and iPod docks, and the lounge has soft woollen sofas and a wood-burning fire.
After a day on the slopes you can relax in the outdoor hot tub whilst the resident chef whips up succulent gourmet meals in the open-plan kitchen, including everyone’s favourite, tarte au citron. Alternatively rent a double room hotel-style for around £565 per person per week.
The lodge is ideally situated, just a stone’s throw from the ski lift Sainte Foy, and is near, but not too near, the party town of Val d’Isere. If you want some action, there’s also a lively locals’ bar at the nearby Hotel Le Monal.
