If you are on a budget and would like to save a few quid on your Madrid flights, check out the low-cost airline, EasyJet. These guys have loads of flights to Madrid from a number of destinations around the UK. For starters, in April you can find flights from London, Liverpool and Edinburgh, all starting from £60 return. Not bad! Ryanair is the other famous economy airline, and they also fly to and from Madrid on a regular basis. From London there are flights starting from £62 return and from Manchester from £35 return.
Make sure that you keep an eye on your luggage as both EasyJet and Ryanair have strict baggage limits. If you exceed the maximum weight for either the checked in or carry on luggage you can be hit with some hefty fines. Also remember that there is no reserved seating with these two companies unless you pay extra for a Speedy Boarding option, so get there early to secure your place at the front of the line!
If you have money to burn and prefer travelling to Madrid with a traditional airline, consider flying with British Airways. This is the national carrier of the UK and they operate several flights to and from Madrid. From London, there are flights starting from £134 return, Edinburgh from £245 return and Glasgow from £235 return. With British Airways, you get up to 23 kilos of luggage allowance, reserved seats, on board food and beverages, in flight entertainment and more!
