Packing list for a luxury cruise

What should you bring with you on a luxury cruise? Everyone's packing lists will of course be different, but here we aim to give you a good starting point. This list can also be used for a regular or budget cruise, but bear in mind that dining tends to be more casual.

Packing for a luxury cruise can be a bit of a headache - especially because if you've forgotten something, you can't usually just nip to the shops to replace it, as you would on a city break or a beach holiday. We normally advise our readers to pack as light as possible, particularly if they are travelling around a little. However, a luxury cruise is different. You normally have plenty of room to unpack your suitcase, minimal travelling to do while carrying your suitcase, and plenty of time to dress up and enjoy the fine dining and entertainment. In addition, you won't have to worry about the excess baggage charges from airlines!
