Which beaches are best for last minute deals to Bali?
On an island famous for its beaches, how do you decide which are the best ones? Every visitor to Bali will have their own preference, but these are our four favourites, thoroughly recommended for aby last minute deals to Bali...
1. Candi Dasa
If a secluded tropical beach is your idea of heaven, head to Candi Dasa. This is the side of Bali you see on the postcards. It's only 30 minutes from Kuta and you'll find some good restaurants and hotels.
This beautiful stretch of coast was chosen as the location for Bali's first beach resort. Despite being a popular beach with tourists, Sanur retains a distinctly Balinese character and a small village charm.
We'll say it upfront: Kuta isn't for everyone. It's busy, loud and full of touts. So why has it made this list? For one, the great surf. Even wannabe surfers can join in the action with a few cheap lessons. Second, the nightlife. Kuta isn't just a beach, it's a town. It's here that you'll find the best of Bali's nightclubs, bars, restaurants, shops and stalls selling cheap designer knock offs. And third, the atmosphere. Everyday feels like a carnival in Kuta. Once you've learned to zone out the hawkers, you'll love the relaxed, party atmosphere.
Seminyak is like Kuta for grown ups. There are less hawkers and less crowds, but you still have lots of creature comforts. Some of Bali's most exclusive hotels are located here, along with fine dining restaurants and luxury boutique shops.
