Are you looking for kids holidays in Scotland? Here is all the information that you need.
There are numerous kids’ holidays available in Scotland but one fantastic option is a children’s adventure holiday at PGL Dalguise located in Perthshire. It’s a fantastic forested site overlooking the River Tay, at the heart of Perthshire’s ‘Big Tree Country’. Dalguise has a fantastic new 'sports dome' built in 2009 which provides additional covered space so they can offer even more activities, whatever the Scottish weather provides.
Most of the activities are on site and are hidden within the woodlands all around the centre - making the most of the forest environment. Down the road is the scenic Loch Tay where the kayaking takes place (about 30 minutes by coach). Kayaking is available from May to September, weather conditions permitting. Here is a list of the adventure activities which are available at PGL Dalguise:
Abseiling, Archery, Ball Sports, Catwalk Camp, Craft Challenge, Course, Climbing, Fencing, Forest Trail, Giant Swing, Initiative Exercises, Jacob's Ladder, Kayaking, Motorsports, Mountain Bikes, Nature Trail, Orienteering, Raft Building, Rifle Shooting, Sequoia Scramble, Sensory Trail, Trapeze Tree Climb, Vertical Challenge and Zip Wire.
There is constant entertainment available with such things as Pirate Day, Superhero day, Music Festival, Highland Day and Medieval Day. All guests sleep in the purpose built lodges in the grounds, which have 6-8 beds and their own showers and toilets. PLG Dalguise is available for children aged between 7 and 17.
