Holidays to Thailand: where to go

With holidays to Thailand, you have a huge variety of options available. It's no wonder that almost every one who visits the country falls in love with it - there's enough variety to ensure that everyone finds their own personal slice of paradise.

Like to relax? Consider holidays in Koh Samui or Phuket. They are convenient to get to, have a wide range of world class hotels, long white sand beaches, and offer all the amenities you need to have a relaxing vacation without worrying about complicated travel arrangements or getting caught out without some essential for Boots.

Like to party? Bangkok or Koh Phanghan could be for you. Many people only spend a night or two in Bangkok before heading off to their next destination, but it's really a fascinating city with heaps of clubs, great shopping and a thriving backpacker scene centred around the legendary Khao San Road. Koh Phanghan plays hosts to the notorious Full Moon parties (and also black moon parties, half moon parties, quarter moon parties...) That aside, it's also a great place to relax and recover after all that partying - with the northern and eastern sides of the island offering some of the most idyllic beaches in Thailand.

Like to adventure? Head north to Chaing Mai and Chaing Rai, where you can enjoy tubing, hiking, elephant rides and white water rafting. This is also a great place to soak up Thai culture and cooking, and a trek to the villages of hill tribes is a popular way to learn about less mainstream culture too.
