Rhodes is an island in Greece situated in the Aegean Sea, north west of Crete. The island's glorious weather, ancient architecture and beautiful beaches make it a popular destination for holidaymakers throughout the year. Historical sites include the Temple of Apollo and the Acropolis of Rhodes. The island has many small villages and beach resorts including Faliraki and Lindos.
Rhodes is home to Diagros Airport, one of the biggest in Greece and it is located just 14 kilometres from Rhodes City. Flight duration from London is around 4 hours. Easyjet fly from Gatwick to Rhodes 4 times a week on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Prices start at just £39.99 one way including taxes. Ryanair have morning flights from Stansted on Tuesday and Saturday at 7.20 am and on Thursday at 8.15 am. Return prices range from around £150 to £250.
