Tenerife

Tenerife is the largest and most populated of the seven Canary Islands. The island is home to the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife which is one of the largest carnivals on the world. Tenerife is known as the "Island of Eternal Spring" and enjoys a warm climate throughout the year. Average temperatures range from 20 to 22 degrees in the winter and from 26 to 28 degrees in the winter. Many of the most popular destinations are in the south of the island. The coastal resorts of Playa de las Americas, Los Cristianos and Puerto de la Cruz are among the most visited.

Flights

There are up to 7 flights a day from Manchester Airport to Tenerife South Airport. Thomson, Easyjet, Monarch and Ryanair all have regular flights there. Of these Monarch is the most frequent and have flights every day. Prices start from £60 each way. Thomson, Monarch and Easyjet also fly from Gatwick to Tenerife South and there are up to 8 flights every day. Flight duration is around 4 and half hours.
