Turkey has a vast coastline with a number of seaside resorts along its Aegean and Mediterranean Sea coasts. The country also has a number of historical sites and ancient architecture. Turkey has mostly a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, coolwinters. The top destinations include Istanbul, Bodrum, Marmaris and Kusadasi. Istanbul has a number of major attractions such as the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar.

Flights from Dublin

Thomson Airlines provide flights from Dublin to Bodrum and Dalaman. They also offer package holidays that combine flights and accommodation and sometimes food and entertainment. Package deals start from around €500. Aer Lingus fly directly from Dublin to Izmir twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday. Prices start from €80 one way before taxes. Ryanair also have regular flights to Stansted and Gatwick and there are daily flights to Turkey from these airports.
