How to have fun in Rome.

It’s impossible to be bored in Rome. In fact you need to make good use of your personal organizer to fit in all the must-visit sites such as the amazing Piazza Navona, the Pantheon (throwing a coin in the Trevi fountain en route), the shopping on and around the Via del Corso and eating pizza in Trastevere.

But don’t forget the host of activities and events designed to keep music lovers entertained in the cool of the night, many of which take place outdoors and are reasonably priced.

For example, why not head for Villa Ada, the beautiful park in the north of Rome where you can catch performances from artists from all over the world? Concerts start at 10.00p.m and will be held until the 29th of July with tickets starting from €10. Check www.villaada.org for information about what’s on.

Alternatively, Villa Pamphili, Rome’s largest park and arguably its most beautiful, is holding concerts with performers such as the Grupo Compay Segundo of Buena Vista Social Club fame. Check out www.iconcertinelparco.it for more details. Tickets start at €15.

Easy Jet flies to Rome from Bristol and London’s Gatwick and Luton airports and Ryanair from East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool and London Gatwick and Stansted airports. So book a flight and head for the eternal city!
