Over the next few months millions of people will go on camping holidays throughout the UK. Read on for advice on some good campsites in the UK.

Cobbs Meadow

This campsite and caravan park is located on a livestock farm in Canterbury in Kent. It is close to Canterbury Cathedral, Howletts Wild Animal Park and is just a 20 minute drive to a sandy beach and safe swimming. The site is open all year and fees start from £12.50 a night.

Ruthern Valley campsite

This site is located in a beautiful wooded valley near Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. They have a range of other accommodation offers including timber cabins, wood bungalows and caravans. All are equipped for self-catering. Camping fees range from £12 to £17 a night.

Challoner campsite

This site in Caernarfon in Wales is on a working farm. There is a wildlife garden with a variety of birds and animals including bats, owls and woodpeckers. There is also a lake that is good for fishing just 5 minutes away. Rates start at £8 for a two person tent.

High Bank Farm

This farm is located just 4 miles from Blackpool. The campsite is sheltered and is surrounded by trees. Facilities include toilets, showers and Wi-Fi internet access. There is also a golf course within 2 miles of the site. Fees start from just £8.

John O'Groats Caravan and Camping Site

This is a family run site in the far north of Scotland. This area has a beautiful natural landscape with a seafront overlooking the Pentland Firth just 7 miles away. There is also excellent cliff scenery and the region is ideal for walkers and hikers. Fees range from £12 to £15.
