Go green! Sail away to luscious Ireland and ‘green Spain’, its northern coast, this summer.
While many of us head for the sun at any opportunity, come summer, others seek out the shade. If you don’t enjoy baking heat, we have the ideal holiday for you. Visit green Spain, where temperatures are warm and there’s plenty of sun, but you don’t need air-conditioning. Then cruise up to Ireland’s east coast, see the sites and enjoy a Guinness or two.
Short but very sweet, P&O are offereing a one-week cruise on their state-of-the-art liner, the Azura (pictured), sailing from Southampton on the 15th of July. Ports of call include Brest, Bilbao, where you can visit the amazing architectural feat, the Guggenheim museum, cracking Cork and Dublin’s fair city.
If you book through the Daily Telegraph Travel Shop (travelshop.telegraph.co.uk 0844 871 2115), fares start at £529 per person based on two people sharing a cabin, and include most meals and on-board entertainment. This is a fabulous saving of up to £490 per person.
The Azura is P&O's most advanced cruise ship to date, able to carry up to 3574 passengers. It’s great for families, offering a huge range of child-friendly activities, three pools, a huge open-air movie screen and a number of restaurants. Adults can head for the on-board casino and there is a covered, child-free zone called The Retreat (at an extra charge), if you need to get away from the kids’ exciting squeals for a while. Bon Voyage!
