Get stuffed in London at Heston’s new pad
Tired of fish'n'chips on the Costa, or you’ve realised (finally) that lamb tagine just really isn’t that exciting, then bugger the holidays this year and get down to Heston Blumenthal’s new London restaurant.
If salmon poached in liquorice followed by nitro-scrambled egg and bacon ice-cream is what’s missing from your life then you’ve probably been trying to get a table at The Fat Duck for aeons.
Face it, you’re not going to get a bloody table no matter how good your Jeremy Irons impression over the phone is. But what you can do now is get on to the Mandarin Oriental, Knightsbridge and book at table at Heston’s new restaurant that’s due to open in November.
Since the restaurant seats 140, the chances of sampling Blumenthal's legendarily eccentric take on classic British dishes should be relatively high.
Now, you don’t have to starve yourself till then, but make sure you do leave room for the Blood Pudding and Confit of Umbles, (don’t ask!)
Check out www.mandarinoriental.com and prepare yourself for a culinary delight.
