Flights to Berlin from London
A number of major airlines run scheduled flights from a variety of London airports to both Berlin-Tegel airport (TXL) and Berlin Schonefeld Airport (SXF), including British Airways, Easyjet, Ryanair, BMI and Lufthansa.
It's worth noting that Tegel is the main international airport in Berlin, Germany and is located 8 kilometres (5m) northwest of the city centre. Schonefeld aiport, outside the town of Schönefeldin Brandenburg, lies 18 kilometres (11m) southeast of Berlin. The new Berlin Brandenburg Airport - on the site of the current Schonefeld airport and due to open in June 2012 - will replace both Tegel and Schonefeld. The quickest and cheapest way to travel into Berlin from Tegel is by bus, which run ever few minutes. From Schonefeld the Airport Express takes just 28 minutes from the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) in Berlin.
