Condor Ferries between the UK to Jersey make it easy to spend a relaxing holiday on the island. There are three terminals available and crossings take anywhere from three to more than 10 hours. Be certain to check departure times at condorferries.co.uk/Media/Timetables.html before you travel because some terminals close for part of the season or on certain days of the week.
Ferry Terminal Information
Poole's Condor Ferries terminal is off the A35, west of Bournemouth. Take the New Quay Road from the roundabout and take the first right to the ferry docks. Service from Poole to Jersey runs from March to October and the crossing takes about three hours.
Portsmouth's ferry terminal is off the M275. Take Wharf Road to the ferry dock. The ferry runs year round from Monday to Saturday; there is no Sunday service. This crossing takes 10 hours and 40 minutes.
The Condor Ferries terminal in Weymouth is off the A354. Take the A353 into the town centre and follow signs to the quay. Service runs throughout the year and takes approximately four hours.
Booking Condor Ferries to Jersey
It's best to purchase your ferry tickets online at condorferries.co.uk. While tickets are sold at the terminal, these tickets are for standby only. You will only board that ferry if there is room after those who purchased their tickets online have boarded. If you do plan to purchase your tickets at the terminal, you must arrive one hour in advance of the ferry's departure.
Students with an ISIC or NSU card receive a 15 percent student discount.
If you must cancel or change your ticket, there is a £25 administration fee. If you cancel within 29 days of your departure, expect a 25 percent cancellation fee.
Ferry service for one driver and a sedan starts at £115.50 one-way and adding a second passenger increases the cost by approximately £35. If you travel on foot, rates start at £42.50. Frequent Traveller Club
Save money by joining the Frequent Traveller Club. Members pay £80 per year for an individual membership that provides a full year of discounts on Condor Ferries' services. It's £28 to add a spouse, £45 for seniors and £160 for a family membership. (July 2011 prices)
