Cuba is calling!
How to get there: Virgin Atlantic offers flights between London and Havana, Cuba’s capital city. If you are travelling in the month of July, you can find flights from London from £626 return. Cubana de Aviacion flies every Wednesday from London. You can find airfares for around £713 return.
Where to stay: Hotel Inglaterra is the oldest hotel in Cuba and is located in an ideal spot for sight-seeing - near Paseo del Prado, Central Park and of the Great Theatre of Havana. It has a restaurant, cafeteria and bar onsite, as well as a games room. Most of the guestrooms are decorated in traditional colonial style, with a modern touch. Check out their website for details on nightly tariffs.
In Havana, you must visit the impressive Fortaleza San Carlos de la Cabaña, the Castillo San Salvador de la Punta and The Great Theatre of Havana. The second largest city in Cuba is Santiago de Cuba, and here you can find the pretty Castillo del Morro citadel of San Pedro de la Roca, which is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. And of course, there are the beautiful beaches that you must relax upon, which you can find all over the country!
