For some people, Christmas is the one time of the year when family members can take time out of their busy lives and reconnect. What better place to escape the Christmas hecticness than by heading to snow covered woods. Union Square also has a holiday market with over 100 booths to snoop through so make sure to pick up coupons at the information booth on your way in to save a few bucks.
If there are younger ones in your family, perhaps visiting Lapland might be a fun option. Located near the Arctic Circle in northern Finland, this truly Winter Wonderland is the perfect place for families to explore. Not only will you experience the Northern Lights, but there are also sleigh rides, snowmobiling, sledding, shopping and many other exciting activities to keep the whole family entertained all Christmas long!
