While you are backpacking through Bangkok and decide you want a break from the hostel lifestyle for a night or two, why not change it all up and stay in a cheap hotel. With so much to see and do in the city, you mostly likely won’t be spending too much time in the room anyway so here are a few cheap hotels to look into in the city.

The three-star hotel, Rambuttri Village Inn, can be found in the Old City and is conveniently located near Khao San. For £17, visitors can get a standard single room or spend a few extra pounds and stay in a double for £19.50 and both include a basic breakfast. The market stalls next door transform at night into a perfect place to grab interesting tasters of local food. Overall, this hotel will fulfill your basic needs and even includes a fantastic rooftop pool. Unfortunately,the pool is only open until 6pm so make sure to get your swim in early.
Atlanta is a small hotel with a very modern lobby that retains the same look as it had in the 1950s. Depending on which floor you are on and if you want air conditioning, the price will vary accordingly. A single room on the 1st or 2nd floor with air con will cost you £19 where as a double rooms start at £20. While the rooms aren’t the most glamorous it does have the basic necessities and might just do the trick if you are looking for an affordable bed to lay your head down on.
Malyasia Hotel is another reasonable, clean and simple option located on Silom Road in the Sathorn area. For a standard single room, prices start at £14.50 and expect to pay around £16 for a double. There is also a relaxing pool, 24-hour restaurant and superior and deluxe rooms to choose from if you need a little more space. There are plenty of cafes and bars nearby which the hotel staff will be more than willing to help you out with if you need recommendations. If you are dependent on Wi-Fi, this may not be the place for you as you will be charged for your usage by the minute and it is not that reasonable.
Tune Hotel Asoke is located in central Bangkok making another ideal location for a hotel. A double room or a twin room with 2 single beds costs £22, but you will need to pay extra for TV access, air con, towels and basic toiletries. The beds are clean, the staff are helpful and the rooms are small. Visit the hotel's website to make sure you know exactly what is and isn’t included in the price so you don't get any nasty surprises when it comes time to pay.
