The gateway into Santander is Parayas Santander Airport, the only airport of Cantabria, in northern Spain.
Currently, there are only two airlines servicing the airport; Ryanair, one of Europe’s leading budget-fare carriers, and Iberia, the flag carrier of Spain. Iberia offers economy and premium economy class Santander flights, so you can fly in comfort, without burning a hole in your pocket.
Ryanair offers trips to major European cities like Dublin, Frankfurt-Hahn, London-Stansted, Madrid-Barajas, Milan-Bergamo, Reus (beginning October 1, 2008), and Rome-Ciampino. Iberia primarily services routes to other Spanish regions, and one or two European destinations from Santander, namely: Alicante, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Madrid, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, Seville, Tenerife, and Valencia.
