Cheap Flights to New York

New York City has three major airports, namely John F. Kennedy International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, and LaGuardia Airport. JFK and Newark are connected to regional rail systems leading into the city, while you can get to nearby places through both airports’ light rail services. JFK and Newark serve international flights, while LaGuardia services domestic and short-haul routes.

JFK is located 12 miles east of downtown Manhattan; Newark is 12 miles west of downtown Manhattan; and LaGuardia is in northern Queens, 6 miles from downtown Manhattan. You can also reach these airports by taking a bus or taxi from anywhere in New York City.

Domestic carriers that have cheap New York flights are Spirit Airlines, AirTran Airways, and JetBlue Airlines; these offer budget-fare flights to and from most major U.S. cities, as well. Budget-fare European carriers that use JFK are Zoom Airlines and airberlin.

Most of the major airlines that fly to the New York airports offer economy and premium economy class service to fit a tight budget.
