The wild moorlands and peaceful woodlands? The friendly smiles and warm welcomes? Well, we in fact think it is all of the above. Cornwall is probably one of the premier camping areas in the UK.
If you decide to go camping in Cornwall you will be treated to fabulous scenery and beautiful beaches. Cornwall is steeped in history and one's mind cant help but wander while walking through the narrow winding streets down to the harbour. It is known for it's relaxed atmosphere, while it also has a great cultural arts scene. Which makes Cornwall an interesting destination for the more lively, outgoing holiday makers.
There are many beautiful campsites within Cornwall and most of them, if not all of them have these basic on site facilities; Internet access, electric hook-ups, pet friendly, gym, restaurant/cafe, shop, conference venue, live entertainment, smokers welcome, children's play area, chemical disposal point and a launderette.
We have taken the time to list a couple of those beautiful campsites and the facilities within them. Firstly we have Poldown Camping and Caravan Park, this is a small, attractive family run campsite which is situated in the wooded countryside, making it a natural suntrap. It consists of a childrens play area, and 2 - 3 electrical hook ups. There is no bar or club. But the park offers quiet family enjoyment and tranquility with space for games and recreation in complete safety. It is located 2 miles West of Helston half way between Lands End and the Lizard and 9 miles from the North coast. Prices start from £11(1 electrical hook up) and increase a further £4 on each electrical hook up. Poldown truely is a very convenient holiday base to which you will enjoy returning.
