Booking a skiing holiday? Take a look at how to get there.

Ryanair, claims to be ‘Europe's favorite Ski airline, leading the way to the slopes this winter, with its lowest ski fares’, so check out their website for their latest deals (http://www.ryanair.com/en/ski-site). The low cost company flies from Stansted and Dublin to Grenoble, Salzburg and Turin, and from Stansted to Klagenfurt. A return flight from Stanstead to Salzburg, departing on Friday the 11th of February and returning on Wednesday the 16th costs just under £40 if you book before midnight on Thursday of this week.

Snow Jet (snowjet.co.uk) operates low-cost weekend flights into Chambery and is now doing the same from Stansted to Sion in Switzerland, informs the Daily Mail. Nendaz, Veysonnaz, thyon and Crans Montana are all within a 30-minute drive, while Verbier and Villars are only 45 minutes away.

Finally, who said sea and snow don’t go? If you’re feeling loathe to book a flight after last year’s volcanic ash disruption, Britanny Ferries (brittanyferries.co.uk) offer self-drive trips to Alpe d'Huez, Avoriaz, la Plagne, Val d'isere and Val Thorens starting from £555 for four people self-catering. The price includes ferry crossings.
