Barcelona by night.
Barcelona is famous for its red-hot night life which attracts movers and shakers from all over Spain as well as other European destinations. But if you’re looking for somewhere a little special and somewhat romantic to chill out, we have just the place.
Barcelona has long been considered the most avant-garde city in Spain. It has some extraordinary ‘moderniste’ (Art Nouveau) architecture, especially the flamboyant work of architect Antoni Gaudí such as the iconic Sagrada Família, Park Güell and Palau Güell, which are all World Heritage Sites.
Gaudí, one of the city’s most famous sons, also remodelled the Casa Batlló between 1904 and 1906 for the Batlló family and the main floor is open to the public. This summer, until the fourth of September you can have drinks on the terrace of this unique building from 9pm until half past midnight (Wednesday to Sunday) in rather special surrounds. Coloured lights will be projected onto its magical facade to create rainbows and you can enjoy music performances as you sip your drinks.
Grab the moment and take the opportunity to relax in one of Barcelona’s most emblematic buildings. Its airport, El Prat, is well served by budget airlines as well as regular airline British Airways.
