Top 5 Bali attractions
The popular Indonesian island of Bali has long been associated with its rich culture, gorgeous coastline and exotic beauty. If you're planning a holiday in Bali, you certainly won't be bored. There's much to see here, but we've rounded up five of our favourite Bali attractions to help you plan you stay.
Mount Agung is the highest mountain in Bali and widely acknowledged as the holiest place on the island. If you make the trek to the top, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views. Dawn and sunset are particularly spectacular. While there, check out the ancient Buddhist temple for a truly spiritual experience.
Ubud is not to be missed. This part of central Bali is arguably the heart of Balinese culture and has a huge number of attractions such as Goa Gajah, Bali Bird Park, Tirta Empul temple and The Monkey Forest of Padangtegal.
Sanur Sea Walking
Sanur is close to Denpasar in the south east of the island, at one of Bali’s most famous surfing beaches. The incredible 'Sea Walking' tour incorporates a walk along the sea bed into a scuba dive. Many people do this more than once due to the excellent prices and unique immersion into sea life.
Kuta Beach is perhaps the most famous tourist destination on the island and it's not short of great, and uniquely Bali, attractions. It is famous the world over for its long, spectacular sandy beach. There is also a huge variety of accommodation and a great nightlife scene.
Penilda Island is a boating, windsurfing and watersport mecca off the south east of Bali. There are also great snorkelling and scuba diving opportunities. If that all sounds too energetic, take a relaxing cruise around the island and enjoy the scenery - after all, one of the best of all Bali attractions is the natural beauty.
